Welcome to Penny Carnival, a blog about crafts, kids and striving to live more creatively and simply. Penny Carnival is written by me, Megan Cooley, a former freelance journalist and teacher living in Cambridge, Mass. Stop by for craft tutorials, recipes and ramblings.
Some days I dink around on the sewing machine. Often I'm cooking up some plant-powered meals (we're a vegan + fish + honey family). Mostly, I'm just trying to live more like my 1930s Nana did--and love up my two little girls, "Bo" (age 10) and "Magpie" (age 7). I met my husband "J" when we were camp counselors together at age 18, but it took us a decade, a breakup, 3,000 miles and a gin and tonic to get hitched in 2002.
Penny Carnival began in March 2008. Read my most recent recap of life events for more background on who we are.
I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
